Etomidate

A

Induction Dose: 0.2-0.3 mg/kg

Onset: <30 sec

Duration: 5-10 min

**causes myoclonia and pain on injection

**do not use in porphyria

**causes acute adrenal suppression (block 11 B hydroxylase)

less change in BP/HR
apnea
increases N/V

A

Induction Dose: 1 mcg/kg infused over 10 minutes followed by 0.2-0.7 mcg/kg/hr

Onset: 2-5 min

Duration: 10-30 min
