Adenosine
Dose: 6/12/12mg
Indications: SVT, diagnose QRS tachycardia
SE: transient heart block, flushing, chest pain, imminent doom feeling
Atropine
Dose: 0.4-1mg IV
Indications: bradycardia or AV block
SE: tachycardia, myocardial ischemia
Diltiazem
Dose: 10-20 mg IV bolus, infusion 5-15 mg/hr
Indications: rate control
SE: HoTN, CHF
Esmolol
Dose: 0.5 mg/kg bolus then infusion 0.05 mg/kg/hr, increase by 0.05 q 5 min
Indication: rate control
SE: bronchospasm, HoTN, CHF exacerbation
Metoprolol
Dose: 5 mg IV q5min x3
Indications: rate control
SE: bronchospasm, HoTN, CHF exacerbation
Ibutilide
Dose: 1 mg IV over 10 min
Indications: conversation of AF
SE: QT prolongation/torsades
Amiodarone
Dose: 150 mg IV over 10 min then 1 mg/min x6hrs, then 0.5mg/min
Indications: VT, rate control and AF conversion
SE: mild HoTN, heart block
Verapamil
Dose: 75-150 mcg/kg over 2 min then 5 mcg/kg/min
SE: heart block, HF, HoTN, asystole, nausea, constipation
