3 components of personality
1. extraversion / introversion - how much stimulation a person needs
E - bored quickly
I - reliable and in control

  1. neurotism and stability - emotional stability of a person
    N - anxious and irrational
    S - calm and more in control
  2. psychoticism - cold, uncaring and agressive
  • came up with L score which is “lie score” - believed people may trick the test to make themselves look good
  • high p score predicts probability of criminality and that they show a lack of care for others

  • A fraudulent banker who had speculative trading to a merchant bank
  • He originally had very high profits as he would bet double the amount that he would loose
  • ability to gamble such large amounts shows his extroverted personality and that he was willing to take huge risks for the thought of money
