an understanding of why people differ can help identify ways to help other people. Baron Cohens study is useful as by looking at differences in theory of mind you can help understand and support people in education and workplaces

It is a more valid approach can be taken towards explaining behaviour. Freuds study adopts a holistic approach to Hans fear through consideration of childhood and natural development through psycho sexual stages

It can be hard to generalise results to a wider population. In Freuds study research was only carried out on Little Hans. Freud tried to generalise his research on psychosexual behaviour to all boys

This means vulnerable people may be psychological harmed and may not want to take part in research again. Through Goulds review of yerkes study it is clear how yerkes work broke ethical guidlines
