Natural = become immune after catching a disease
artificial = immunity after being given a vaccination

Natural = baby becomes immune due to the antibodies received from its mother via milk or placenta 
artificial = injected with the antibodies from another organism

What is an autoimmune disease?

A

Antigens present on organism’s own cells. Immune system can’t recognise which are self and which are non-self. This causes the immune system to attack its own tissue’s.

What’s the difference between vaccination and immunisation?

A

Vaccination is the administration of the antigens into the body. Immunisation is the process by which you develop immunity. Vaccination causes immunisation.
