A
- tight ITB that rubs against lateral epicondyle of femur at 30 degrees of flexion
- common in log distance runner b/w 15-50 (people who train down hill a lot)
- common in cyclists with too high bike seats

- trochanteric bursitis
- gluteal tendonitis
- piriformis syndrome

A
- pain in lat. hip, thigh, or knee
- snapping as ITB passes over greater trochanter
- aggravated by downhill running
- relieved when lying supine with hip and knee flexed

- abnormal neuro findings
