A

Clinic from 160/100 – 180/120

HBPM 150/95 or more

What to do if bp 180/120 or higher

A

If 180/120 or higher refer if:
- Signs of retinal haemorrhage +/- papilloedema.

  • Life threatening sx e.g. new confusion, CP, signs of CCF, AKI.

If none of the above, look for target organ damage, and if present consider tx immediately without wating for ABMP

If hypertensive and under 40
Likely secondary so need to investigate
