An organ which secretes chemical substances(hormones) for use in the body or for discharge into the surroundings.

A specific organ on which a hormone acts on.

what is type 1 diabetes?
Type 1 diabetes is a disorder that usually starts in young children and teenagers. It seems to be a genetic element.
what causes type 1 diabetes?
It is when your pancreas does not produce enough insulin meaning that your blood glucose levels are not controlled.
how is type 1 diabetes treated?
If you have type 1 diabetes, you will need replacement insulin before meals. Some ways that type 1 diabetes is through transplant or stem cells.
what is type 2 diabetes?
Type 2 diabetes is a very common disease which is more common as people get older and is often linked to obesity, lack of exercise, or both.
what causes type 2 diabetes?
Obesity, lack of exercise or both
how is type 2 diabetes treated?
Type 2 diabetes can often be treated without needing to inject insulin. You can treat it by eating a balanced diet;losing weight and doing regular exercise.
