What are the conquistadores
The Conquistadores are the Spanish soldiers who conquered Central America.
What were the Aztec and Inca empires
In the 15th century, Central America was part of the Aztec Empire. The west coast of South America belonged to the Inca empire. These two divisions had a few dissimilarities and similarities between them.
What were the similarities between the Aztec and Inca empires
- Both of these empires were very civilised in some ways, but uncivilised in others.
- They had great stone cities, roads and bridges, but hadnt discovered the wheel.
- They had no metals except gold, silver and copper.
- Both the empires had weapons of wooden “swords” with sharp stone blades.
What were the dissimilarities between the Aztec and Inca empires
- The Aztecs had a simple kind of picture writing, whilst the Incas had none at all.
- The Aztecs were a bit more advanced.
- The Aztecs were often very cruel people, unlike the Incas. This is because, every year the Äztecs killed thousands of prisoners to please their gods.
