What are the 5 intracapsular structures of the hip and what is their function?

A

Synovial membrane - secretes synovial fluid into joint
Acetabular Labrum - increases stability, joins two ends of lunate surface of acetabulum
Joint capsule - provides support/stability
Transverse acetabular ligament - provides small amount of stability
Ligamentum teres - ligament of head of femur, has a blood supply
