What is the pathophysiology of hepatorenal syndrome?
A
Vasoactive mediators cause splanchic vasodilation - reduces systemic vascular resistance
Triggers RAAS - causing renal vasoconstriction

Type 1

What are the features of type 1?
A
Rapidly progressive
Doubling of serum creatinine in less than 2 weeks
Very poor prognosis
