What is HSP?
A
An IgA mediated small vessel vasculitis

How does HSP present?
A
- Usually in children following an infection
- Palpable purpuric rash over buttocks/extensor surfaces of arms and legs
- Abdominal pain
- Polyarthritis
- Haematuria/Renal failure

How is HSP managed?
A
- Analgesia for pain
- Supportive renal treatment
- Regular BP and urinalysis to detect renal involvement
