A

Cranial - reduced secretion from the pituitary gland
Nephrogenic - Insensitivity to ADH

  • Idiopathic
  • Post head injury
  • Pituitary surgery
  • Craniopharyngioma

What are causes of nephrogenic DI?

A
  • Genetic
  • Electrolytes: hypercalcaemia, hypokalaemia
  • Lithium: densensitizes kidneys ability to respond to ADH
