sore throat- URI- bacterial fever, swollen tenderadenopathy, absence of cough, red throat
Pharyngitis
local lesion, apthous ulcer
Sore tongue
common in children, no white, pink (no picture)
Large normal
red throat white exudate on tonsils, with fever and enlarged nodes- strep A
Exudative Tonsilitis
rare, dull red throat with gray exudate, airway may become obstructed
Diphtheria
AIDs, deep purple lesions, vascular tumor, also have GI and lung lesions
Kaposi’s Sarcoma
for sebaceous glands that appear as yellow
spots on muscosa
Fordyce spots
early sign of measles, small white specks that
resemble grains of salt
Koplik’s Spots
red spots caused by blood that escapes capillaries- from accidentally
biting cheek
Petechiae
