Q

what is the effect of the S2 heart sound on inspiration?

A

▪ Right side filling time is increased → increases right ventricle stroke volume

▪ Delays closure of pulmonic valve splitting S2 into 2 audible components (during inhale)

Q

what is the effect of the S2 heart sound on expiration?
