The body’s ability to meet the demands of the environment/ demands put upon it without stress.
Health
A state of complete social, mental and physical well-being.
Stregnth
The ability for a muscle to exert a force as they contact.
Cardiovascular fitness
The ability for the heart and lungs to keep working efficiently in endurance events.
Flexibility
The range of movement around a joint.
Agility
The ability to change direction quickly and accurately.
Balance
The ability to keep the body stable whether still of moving.
Speed
The ability to move all parts of the body quickly.
Power
The combination of maximum speed and maximum strength.
Co-ordination
The ability to move 2 or more body parts at the same time.
Reaction time
The time taken to react to a stimulus.
Timing
The ability to coincide movements in relation to external factors e.g. An opponent or a ball.
