Hard to remember bits Flashcards
what are the 2 blue vessels
dark blue = superior epigastric vein
light = inferior epigastric vein
what are the 2 red vessels
dark = superior epigastric artery
light = inferior epigastric arteru
what do the superior epigastric blood vessels come from
internal thoracic blood vessels
what do the inferior epigastric blood vessels come from
external iliac blood vessels
lymph drainage of ant and post abdo wall
Above the umbilicus the lymphatic drainage goes to the
anterior or axillary nodes.
Below the umbilicus the lymphatic drainage goes to the
superficial inguial nodes.
This pattern is followed on the posterior abdominal wall too.
name the nerves
green = genitofemoral L1,2
yellow = lat cutanueos L2,3
red = obturator L2,3,4
orange =femoral L2-4
suprahyoid innervation
- stylohyoid- facial
- digastric ant- inferior alveolar nerve- V3
digastric post- facial - mylohyoid- inferior alveolar nerve- V3
- geniohyoud- C1 nerve roots that run within the hypoglossal nerve.
infrahyoid innervation
- omohyoid, sternohyoid, sternothyroid- all Anterior rami of C1-C3, carried by a branch of the ansa cervicalis.
- thyrohyoid- Anterior ramus of C1, carried within the hypoglossal nerve.
innervation of muscles in ant abdo wall
EO
IO
transverse abdominis
rectus abdominis- - all Thoracoabdominal nerves** (T7-T11), subcostal nerve (T12)**
pyramidalis- Subcostal nerve (T12).
innervation of psoas major and Quadratus Lumborum
- Quadratus Lumborum- Anterior rami of T12- L4 nerves.
- Psoas major- Anterior rami of** L1 – L3** nerves.
