What is the definition of group cohesion?
A dynamic process meaning it can change over time
Instrumental meaning groups stick together for task purposes
Affective meaning groups stick together because the members enjoy each other’s company
What is group integration (GI)?
Individuals beliefs about closeness, similarity and bonding of group members
What is individuals attraction to the group (ATG)?
An individuals feeling about the group
What is task and social cohesion?
Task - where team works together to achieve common goals
Social - the degree to which members of a group like each other
