Malagousia: Macedonia, Peloponnesus
Moschofilero: mantinia in Peloponnesus
Roditis: Attica, Macedonia, Thessaly and Peloponnesus
White Muscat: Samos, Patra and Rio de Patra
Also Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc

Greece primary red grape varieties are:
Xynomavro: translates as “sour black”. The predominant grape in Macedonia
Agiorgitiko: or Saint George, AOC region Nemea in the Peloponnesus
Mavrodaphne: or Black Laurel, found in the Peloponnesus region of Achaia and Llia as well as the Lonian Islands
International varieties

North:
Macedonia, Naoussa, cotes de Meliton, amynteon
South:
Peloponnesus, Nemea, Mantinia, patras
Aegean Islands:
Santorini, Crete, Rhodes
Macedonia wines:
Naoussa: full bodied reds from Xynomavro
Cotes de Meliton: red, white and rose from native & French varietals
Amynteon: remote northern area. Sparkling, rose and light reds from Xynomavro
Peloponnesus wines:
Nemea: red wines from agiorgitiko near Corinth
Mantinia: dry whites from Moschofilero from higher altitude vineyards in central Peloponnesus
Patras: Muscat de Patras, Mavrodaphne de Patras
Aegean Islands grape varieties:
Assyrtiko, Athiri, Aidani, Mavrotragano
