If the violation is of a serious nature, the investigating supervisor shall relieve the employee of duty and take his/her credentials, issued weapon, Taser and badge. These items will be stored in the Property and Evidence Room pending disposition. Any employee who is relieved of duty shall be instructed to be immediately available to the Office of the Chief of Police and Internal Affairs and will not perform any police duties while relieved of duty.
