Contact the Runaway/Missing Persons Unit Supervisor and jointly reach a decision on the appropriate action to be taken to endure that maximum effort is made to locate the child.
If a missing adult victim is determined to be at risk what must a supervisor do?
Determine the extent of immediate action to be taken and contact the investigative division to assume responsibility for the investigation.
How much time must elapse before a person can be reported as missing or a runaway?
there is no required amount of time that must elapse.
Runaways and missing persons under the age of __ will be entered into the NCIC system when the report is taken/

What other offenses can be listed on a missing person/runaway report?
None
Who can report a missing person?
Anyone, regardless of their relationship to the individual.
What is the supervisor’s responsibility upon the discovery that a child has been abducted by either a parent or an unknown person?
The supervisor will determine the need for an immediate response and contact the Investigative Division. Investigative Division personnel will assume responsibility of the investigation and determine the need to implement an Amber Aaert.
Who can issue an Amber Alert?
Only an Investigative Division Supervisor
