A
- Precursor to colorectal cancer (CRC)
- More villous, more likely malignant

- Asymptomatic (often)
- Lower GI bleed
- Partial obstruction
- Secretory diarrhea

Hyperplastic

A
Rectosigmoid colon (>50%)

Juvenile polyps.
A
- Sporadic lesions in children (<5)
- 80% in Rectum
- If single, No malignant potention

Multiple polyps in GI tract
INcreased risk of Adenocarcinoma

Peutz-Jeghers syndrome.
A
- Autosomal-Dominant
- Multiple nonmalignant hamartomas throught GI tract
- Hyperpigmented mouth, lips, hands, genitalia
- Increased risk of CRC and other visceral malignancies
