A
  1. Fluid
  2. pRBC if HCT under 30 in old/CAD
  3. FFP if PT/INR elevated
  4. Platelets if below 50K and active bleed
  5. Octreotide if variceal
  6. EGD

When to do nuclear bleeding scan?

Angiography?

Capsule endoscopy?

CT/MRI?

A

Endoscopy shows nothing in massive acute bleed

Need to find vessel for surgery in massive unresponsive hemorrhage

Nothing seen with upper and lower endoscopy

Not useful
