Q

What are the different genetic processes related with cancer?

A

Oncogenes - regulate cell growth

Tumour suppressor genes - inhibits cell cycle or promotes apoptosis - ‘two-hit hypothesis’

DNA damage-response genes - repair mechanisms for DNA, repairs mismatching genes etc. Failure leads to MSI.
