unilateral headache
scalp tenderness
tongue/jaw claudication
amaurosis fugax
unilateral blindness

ix of gca
A
b4 mx need to take: esr (high), crp (high), fbc (normocytic anaemia)
after mx: temporal artery biopsy (focal granulomatous inflammation)

A
high-dose methylprednisolone if blindness just starting
normal prednisolone if suspected
