what is eds?
A
autosomal dominant connective tissue disorder
affects mostly type 3 collagen
resulting in tissue being more elastic than normal
so, joint hypermobility and skin elasticity

elastic, fragile skin
joint hypermobility
easy bruising
aortic regurg, mitral valve prolapse, aortic dissection
subarach haemorrhage
angioid retinal streaks

what test can be used to assess hyeprmobility?
A
beighton score
+ve if at least 5/9 in adults or 6/9 in children

what is a galeazzi test?
A
used to check for unilateral developmental dysplasia of the hip
