Falx cerebri shape, site, attachements & contents
- Shape: sickle shaped
- Site: duplicated between the 2 cerebral hemispheres
Attachements:
1. Apex: attached to crista galli & frontal crest
2. upper border: attached to superior saggital groove, containing Superior saggital sinus
3. Lower border: free containing inferior saggital sinus
4. Base: attached to tentorium cereblli, contains straight sinus
Tentorium cerebelli site
Site: seperates cerebellum from occipital lobe of cerebrum
Tenotrium cerebelli attachement
- Posterior clinoid process of sphinoid bone (ant.)
- Superior petrous sulcus of temporal bone (side)
- transverse sulcus (post.)
Nerves peirceing crossing of attached & free surfaces of Tentorium cerebelli

* Trochlear N (at the point)
* Trigeminal N (behind the point)
Sinuses related to tentorium cerebelli
- Straight sinus (at its attachement with falx cerebri)
- Transverse sinus
- Superior petrosal sinus
Site of falx cerebelli
from internal occipital protuberence to foramen magnum, seperating the two cerebellar hemispheres
Diaphragma sellae covers ___
dural fold covering sella turcica & pituitary gland
