Planning, organizing, & conducting:
-Mechanized, explosive, and mechanical breaching ops.
-Conducting armored short gap bridging ops.
-Mobile route clearance ops that detect explosive and non explosive obstacles.
-Conduct engineer reconnaissance within the division AO.
-Conduct hasty obstacle construction.
-limited survivability operations within the division.

13 Tasks of Combat Engineer Company
Provide:
-(1) Engineer reconnaissance.
-(2) Assistance for the cross-country movement of tracked and light wheeled vehicles.
-(3) Specialized assistance in breaching obstacles, including mines, from the high-water mark inland.
Perform:
-(4) Specialized demolition missions beyond the capability of the infantryman.
-(5) Any combat engineer related tasks when augmented with the necessary elements of the engineer support company.
Furnish:
-(6) Techanical assistance in the fabrication and positioning of light obstacles.
-(7) Techanical and mechanical assistance in the installation of temporary cut and cover type field fortifications.
(8) Erect temporary engineer-type structures to assist in the movement of light vehicles and personnel across dry and wet gaps.
(9) Construction and operate light rafts.
(10) Improve existing terrain for use as helicopter terminal points.
(11) Reinforced and repair existing bridges with local materials for the passage of light vehicles.
(12) Supervise the emplacement of minefields and booby traps.
(13) Supervise extensive or sensitive minefield clearance.
FPII ISS COUGAR CAT I Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle (MRAP) Cougar 4x4
-Conducts multifaceted, light armored, all terrain, day/night operations in support of ground forces.
-Range: 600 miles
-Crew: Driver, vehicle commander, gunner
Armaments: M2 .50 Cal Machine Gun, M240 7.62mm Machine Gun, M249 7.62mm SAW, MK19 Grenade launcher, TOW missile system.
FPII ISS COUGAR CAT II Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle Cougar 6x6
-Conducts multifaceted, light armored, all terrain, day/night operations in support of ground forces.
-Range: 600 miles
-Crew: Driver, Vehicle Commander, Gunner
-Armaments: M2 .50 Caliber Machine gun, M240 7.62mm machine gun, M249 7.62mm SAW, MK19 grenade launcher, and the TOW missile system.
FPI CAT III/A1 (Buffalo)
-Removal of IEDs while conducting route clearance missions in all terrain during day/night operations in support of ground forces.
-Range: 600 miles
-Crew: Driver, vehicle commander, EOD tech, arm operator
-30 foot robotic arm to dispose of IEDs
Husky MK III
Primary: Detection of IEDs using ground penetrating radar during route clearance missions.
Range: 600 miles
-1 enlisted
Main feature: ground penetrating radar array that deploys in front of the vehicle.
M1 Assault Breacher Vehicle (M1 ABV)
Primary: Clearing of obstacles, mines & IEDs in all terrain.
Features: 12.7mm heavy machine gun and mine clearing line charges consisting of explosive tipped rockets for clearing explosives and mines 100 meters deep and 14 meters wide.
M60A1 Armored Launched Bridge (M60A1 AVLB)
Primary: Employment of a short span bridge to cross short gaps under armor in support of ground forces.
Features: Divided into 2 sections; the hull and launching mechanism. Bridge is 60 foot long and 12 foot wide. Can be launched in 2 to 5 minutes using only a 2 man team.
