Explain Anti-terrorism
A colective, proactive effort focused on the prevention and detection of terrorist attacks againist DOD personnel, their families, facilities, installations and infrastructure.
Interior Guard Chain of Command: CO & Field Officer of the Day
Ensures the security of the Command
Interior Guard Chain of Command: Officer of the Day
Supervises the main guard. Directs inspection of the guard by other officers or NCOs’.
Interior Guard Chain of Command: Commander of the Guard & SGT of the Guard
Ensures proper instructions, discipline, and performance of the duty of the main guard.
Interior Guard Chain of Command: Corporal of the Guard
In charge of relief
1st General Order
to take charge of this post and all government property in view.
2nd General order
to walk my post in a military manner, keeping always on alert and observing everything that takes place within sight or hearing.
3rd General Order
To report all violations of orders I am instructed to enforce.
4th General Order
To repeat all class from post more distant from the guardhouse than my house.
5th General Order
To quit my post only when properly relieved.
6th General Order
To recieve, obey, and pass on to the sentry who relieves me all oders from the CO, OOD, and officers and NCOs’ of the guard.
7th General Order
To talk to no one except in the line of duty
8th General Order
To give the alarm in case of fire or disorder
9th General Order
To call the Corporal of the Guard in any case not covered by instructions.
10th General Order
To salute all officers and all colors and standards not cased.
11th General Order
To be especially watchful at night and during the time for challenging, to challenge all persons on or near my post, and to allow no one to pass without proper authority.
What is deadly force?
Efforts of an individual used against another to cause death, substantial risk of death, or serious bodily harm.
6 Conditions that justify the uses of deadly force
-Defend yourself
-Defend property not involving national security
-Defend property not involving national security but inherently dangerous to others.
-Prevent crimes against people.
-Apprehend individuals.
-Establish and/or mainain lawful order
Access
Ability and opportunity to obtain knowledge or possession of classified information.
Classification
Determination by an authorized official that official information requires a specific degree of protection against unauthorized disclosure.
Compromise
Unauthorized disclosure of classified information to one or more persons who do not possess a current valid security clearance.
Information
Any official knowledge that can be communicated or documentary material, regardless of its physical form.
Classified Information
Information determined under Executive Order 12958 or any successor order, EO 12951 or the Atomic Energy Act of 1954.

Insider threat

Terrorism
Unlawful use or threatened use of violence to force or to intimidate governments or societies to achieve political, religious, or ideological objectives.
Perspectives of Terrorism
A cheap, low risk way to weaken nations, individuals, or groups to challenge stronger nations or groups and achieve objectives beyond their own abilities.
Long range goals of terrorism
To topple governments, influence top level decisions, and gain recognition.
Short Range Goals of terrorism
Gaining recognition, reducing government credibility, disrupting communications, demonstrating power, delaying the political process, freeing prisoners.
What motivates terrorists
By religion, prestige, power, politial change, and material gain.
Terrorist operations
Small secret group, tight central control held by a few individuals.
Have command, intel, support and tactical responsibilities.
Share resources, expertise, and safe havens. They seek to achieve their objectives through fear, intimidation and force.
FPCON System
DOD-approved system standardizing DOD’s identification of and recommneded preventive actions and responses to terrorist threats againist U.S. personnel and facilities.

Incident occurs or intelligence recieved some form of terrorist action or targeting againist personal or facilities is likely.

Terrorist attacks occurred or intel received terrorist action against a specific location or person is imminent.
