Flushing
Done 2-3 wks before mating to improve BC

Ration for grwoing ewes
Grazing and low conc
Common diet for pregnant ewes
Summer: pasture + 0.5-1kg of hay per day
Winter: 2-3kg of haylage of grass + 1kg of hay
Post partum: pasture + 0.5-1kg of hay + 0.3-0.6kg of conc
Ration for breeding rams
- Goal is to achieve a BCS of 3
- 2-3wks before mating incr conc to 1-1.5kg (oats)
- 1kg of moist feed
- 1 kg of hay
- 1 kg of pea straw
- 0.5 kg of conc
