Palpebral part: gently shuts the eye
Orbital part: forcefully shuts the eye

Wrinkles forehead, lifts eyebrows
What is the action of the nasalis?
Transverse part: comprises the nasal aperture
Alar part: flares the nostril
What is the action of the procerus?
Draws down medial angle of eyebrow, produces horizontal wrinkles over nose

Pull nose inferiorly

Frown

Draws lower lip downward and laterally, like a partial cringe

raises and protrudes lower lip

Draws eyebrows medially and downward

retracts corners of the mouth

Major: smile
Minor: draws upper lip upward
