Found immediately beneath the skin
Subcutaneous mycoses
Fungal disease of the deep tissues and organs of the body
If disseminated, subcutaneous and cutaneous may also be involved
Systemic mycoses
Hyphae and conidia lightly pigmented when observed microscopically
Includes shades of green and blue
Hyaline
Hyphae and/or conidia, observed microscopically, appearing in shades of black
Dematiaceous
Hyphae with NO cross walls
Aseptate hyphae
Hyphae with cross walls
Septate hyphae
