or practice. - Beneficence: encompasses taking positive steps to benefit others, which includes balancing benefit and risk.
- Justice: supports fair, equitable, and appropriate treatment for individuals and fair allocation of resources.

- Identify problem or dilemma
- Identify the potential issues
- Brainstorm how culture may be influencing the decision making process
- How does the academy/CDR code of ethics relate to the issue?
- Consider applicable laws and regulations
- Seek consultation from more than one source to obtain various perspectives on the dilemma
- Brainstorm various possible courses of action
- Enumerate the consequences of various decisions, and reflect on the implications of each course of action
- Decide on the best possible course of action
