A strength regarding the nature/nurture argument?

A

it provided a unique opertunity to test the effects of Nature VS Nurture as the twins were genetically identical so their was massive control on variable to provide a clear cause and effect.

only followed one child so may not be genrelisable to other children
-Could be argued that Bruce was not like other little boys in that he had a twin brother which could have effected his gender behaviour

Very possible that money interprited his finding to fit to his theory of gender neutrality because he claimed it a success while in Davids later testomony he stated that it clearly wasn’t

Q

Ethical issues?

A

The twins were allegedly encouraged to pose naked in sexual positions which could have lead to being a factor which caused Brian reimer’s break down and the later suicide of David
-allegedly money cohersed the twins parents into allowing him to study them for his own gain and the welbeing of the children was ignored
