KM: the work of making evidence easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to use.
Why we need it:
- Mental Health and addiction are leading causes of diseases in Canada.
- About 1 in 3 Canadians will be affected by a mental illness in their lifetime. Also drug toxicity happening currently

Different ways to treat, improve community well-being, change healthcare policies and systems.
- Government and legislators
- HCP and services p.
- researchers and community groups
- And people who use MH services.

ex: researchers publish articles every year to advance the science on mental health and addictions.
- Health care providers - gain knowledge from their clients care and treatment outcomes.

  • Communities: hold valuable cultural knowledge about their care needs and their members’ lived experiences,
  • Governments: track info about their populations and work to deve. new policies (fund, implement or transform, healthcare services).
