Euthryroid goiter (simple goiter)
Thyroid gland enlarges in order to compensate for an insufficient of thyroid hormones – sometimes related to a dietary insufficiency of iodine - in many cases, the condition is idiopathic
Etiology/Pathophysiology of Euthryroid goiter (simple goiter)
Can appear as a small nodule pr as a huge, swollen mass on the anterior surface of the neck – can suppress the esophagus or trachea
Signs and Symptoms of Euthryroid goiter (simple goiter)
Based on thyroid gland enlargement in the presence of normal hormone levels
Diagnosis of Euthryroid goiter (simple goiter)
Hormone replacement therapy or iodine supplementation
