What is Withdrawal?
Participants should have to right to withdraw themselves and their data removed from the study at any time
What is Informed Consent?
Participants should sign a consent form and be aware of what the study is.
What is Confidentiality?
Participants should have the right to have their personal information and test scores secret such as changing the participants name or giving them a number
What is Deception?
Deceiving participants and lying to them on the true aim of the study
What is Distress (harm)?
Participants should not be harmed physically or psychologically unless absolutely necessary and it is minor
What is Debrief?
Letting Participants know the aim of the study and addressing any harm or deception as well as offering any help they may need after the study
What is a consent form?
A letter written in verbatim form to participants to ask if they will be willing to take part in the study with details of the experiment, ethical guidelines that will be followed and contact details.
