Human Dignity refers to
All humans being of equal moral worth, don’t forget they are humans too
Autonomy refers to
Fundamental interest all individuals have in making decisions in whatever concerns their own lives, free from external coercion and from manipulation of their belief and preferences
in practice autonomy refers to
Having informed, competent, voluntary consent with understanding of the possible consequences
Autonomy and decision making, doctor involvement
Doctors must support the decision making process allowing for independence and without undue pressure
Beneficence refers to
Doing good, helping, producing a benefit from the point of view of the patient
Nonmaleficence refers to
avoiding and minimising harm
Unavoidable harms should be proportionable and justifiable
