More than normal tracheal mucus +1- +3
what will we see with endoscopy with sEA
Tracheal mucus+ 1 –> +5 (a lot more than normal)
what do you see on cytology with sEA
A lot of neutrophils- above 25% of nucleated cells
Describe the progression of equine asthma from mild to severe
mild= poor performance
moderate= cough, nasal discharge during exercise
severe= signs at rest
describe the aeitiology of equine asthma
Strong association with environment & feeding
Inflammation is Central to Syndrome
Mechanisms poorly understood
