A

Low Molecular Weight Heparin

prevents fibrinogen conversion into fibrin-> prevents coagulation cascade

indications

A

prophylaxis of DVT/ PE- especially in surgical patients or acutely unwell

treatment of DVT in pregnant women (DOACs contraindicated)

treatment of DVT in people that are at low risk of recurrence

can be given in MI when undergoing a Primary PCI
