Energy, Slowing, Ego Flashcards
Slowing down
Instead of focusing on practices, skills and tools intended to help you speed up to stay on top of a world and life that seems to perpetually accelerate, what if you focused, instead, on slowing down? What if you embraced and cultivated the practices and skills that allowed you to breathe, to see, and to be.
Theme
Untangling ourselves from our ego, releasing from distraction
Avidya
Recognising that we have so many thoughts. Many of them are not real. They’re driven by our ego, attachment, fear.

What thoughts are clouding your today?
Bhramari
Humming bee

Frees you from distractions of your ego, your senses
And we can have a little giggle
Synchronise
Feel the flow of breath and movement synchronise and come to the present. Reduce your minds ability to jump around like a monkey from thought-branch to thought-branch.
Arm balances
Arm balances are great to challenge your ego, challenge your fear. Do you need to step back away from your ego or step toward your fear.
Arm balance 2

Thought - train
Imagine your thought is like a train. Watch the train come to a stop. Don’t get on it. Let it keep going. Become the witness/the observer.
Avidya
Untangling from your ignorance. Becoming the witness. Not getting attached to your thoughts. Are they really true. Is it within your control. Did it really happen ?
Plank alignment
Stack shoulders over elbows and wrists
Flex your wrists and spread your fingers
Press your palms forward until your upper back rounds
Maintain this and energetically plug your upper arm bones back in toward your shoulder sockets
Without moving, energetically squeeze your arms into the midline of your body
Maintain this and, ever so slightly, broaden your chest as if your collarbones are smiling
