What is space in yoga? When to use?
A
- essence of emptiness, open, freedom, not obstructed
- use when need stillness, quietness
- pure possibility
- poses: bridge, shoulder stand, fish pose, corpse pose

What is air in yoga? When to use?
A
- movement, lightness, clarity, focus, expansion
- use when you need more movement, breath, rhythm, movement
- it begins to fuel the fire and helps us channel inwards to a calmer state
- Poses – cobra, cow and cat, bridge, dancers

What is fire in yoga? When to use?
A
- nourishing, in your belly, not about what your adding but burning what you do not need anymore
- internal warmth and heat that is generated in certain postures
- we can burn what we do not need int he practice and let it go
- Poses - standing postures, vinyasa flow, chair

What is water in yoga? When to use?
A
- flowing, strong, energising, removing obstacles
- flows past the point of least resistance
- Important to take in water when you are feeling too warm, ungrounded, dehydrated, irritable, obstructed
- Poses – vinyasa flow, hip poses

What is earth in yoga? When to use?
A
- home, cohesion, foundation
- when we need to build strength we need to be grounded
- use when need calming, need more grounding, building strength, feel stable, safe and balanced
- Poses – child’s pose, malasana, tree pose
