How do we show emotion?

what is arousal?
An increase in reactivity or wakefulness to prime is for an event
What is the cannon-bard theory?
Emotion arousing stimuli simultaneously trigger a physiological response and a subjective experience
Why is the schachter-singer theory?
To experience emotion one must be physiologically aroused and be able to cognitively label that arousal

define mania?
Elevated out of keeping with the patient’s circumstances. Increased energy and speech. Decreased need for sleep. Reckless behaviour
Hypomania - slightly less severe version - able to work and study etc…
