What is the Fire Extinguisher charged with?
A
1.2 kg of Halon 1211/1301 blend which is effective on Class B and C fires (and some Class A fires). It also has low toxicity characteristics; however, it works by displacing oxygen from the air.

What are you checking on the fire extinguisher?
A
ensure that the red circular disk adjacent to the trigger is still present, thus it has not been discharged.

How long will the Protective Breathing Equipment last?
A
The PBE has two oxygen cylinders, that will supply a minimum of 15 minutes of protection in a smoke-filled environment. It has an anti-fog coating to improve visibility.
