Q

How does an electronic leak detector find a leak?

A

Ultrasonic(Sound), Measuring Halogenated Gases(Chlorine/Fluorine) used in CFC, HFC, and HCFC Refrigerants. (R12, R134a) R-1234y does not contain these gases.

An electronic leak detector finds leaks using ultrasonic sound and by measuring halogenated gases found in certain refrigerants.
