Condenser Flashcards
What is the condenser?
The condenser is a heat exchanger, mounted in front of the radiator, and CAC.
The condenser is a component that receives warm, high pressure gas from the A/C Compressor discharge line.
How does air flow over the condenser?
Air flows over the condenser, from the Engine Fan, and/or ram air from driving the vehicle.
The air removes heat from the high pressure refrigerant, cooling it to below its boiling point (Condensation).
What happens to the cooled high pressure liquid refrigerant?
The cooled high pressure liquid refrigerant exits the condenser.
This process helps in cooling the refrigerant below its boiling point, allowing it to circulate through the system efficiently.
