1st line sedative = Haloperidol 0.5mg or olanzepine (careful in PD)
What favours delirium over dementia
Delirium = acute onset, impairment consciousness, fluctuation in symptoms, abnormal perceptions (hallucinations), agitation, fear, delusions
Pharmacological mx alzheimers
Mild - mod = AChE inhibitors (dinepezol-S/Einsomnia; galantamine; rivastigmine)
Memantantine (NMDA antagonist)
<65 onset, insidious, relatively preserved memory + visuospatial. Personality change + social conduct problems

Difference between Lewy body dementia and Parkinson’s disease dementia
IN LBD = Progressive cognitive impairment typically before parkinson’s/motor (PD has motor before cognitive)
