-If all waveforms are negative, check right arm and left leg
-lead I is RA,LA
-lead II is right arm and left leg
-lead III is left arm and left leg

-If a patient asks why they need an ambulatory monitor, PCT should answer “the doctor wants to study your hear over a long period of time”
-Pregnant patients should be placed slightly on the left side
-ST segment elevation, pathological Q waves and T waves indicate myocardial infraction

-Pulmonary edema = abnormal collection of fluid within the pleural space due to left ventricular failure
-tachycardia can also indicate left ventricular failure
-Ascites = abnormal collection of serous fluid within the abdomen and indicates right ventricular failure
-Jugular vein distention indicates right ventricular failure
-Exercise stress test, loose clothing, light meal 2 hours prior and avoid caffeine, tobacco, and alcohol 3 hours prior to test
