POWER UP (CA or FO)
A
- NAV LIGHT - on
- BATTERIES 1, 2 - battery 1 (on), battery 2 (auto)
- BATTERY VOLTAGE
- EICAS MESSAGES
- GPU
- EMERGENCY LIGHTS (GPU AVAILABLE) - on checked, then ARMED
- FIRE EXTINGUISHER PANEL (fire test)
- APU - on, wait for the EICAS display then start
- EMERGENCY LIGHTS SELECTOR (IF NO GPU AVAILABLE) - checked
- HYDRAULIC PANEL - check for FLT CNTRL EXPIRED message
- ELECTRONIC CB’s - check the MCDU for the CBs
- DVDR PANEL - press and hold test for 2 seconds
- COCKPIT DOOR PANEL - press test, then lock, then FA check,
- PHOTOLUMINESCENT STRIPS - checked, charged after 15 minutes

- SHIP NUMBER
- OXYGEN MASKS - test, controller at 100%, check audio
- REVERSIONARY PANEL - display in AUTO, ADS and IRS normal config
- GLARESHIELD LIGHTS
- DISPLAY CONTROLLER - baro set, FMS 1&2, HDG, SRC, ALT (assigned)
- PAX SIGN PANEL - on
- FLT INSTRUMENTS/ALTIMETERS - MFD, plan, Map, wx standby
- STATUS PAGE - verify ENG OIL LEVEL & BRAKES EMER ACCU press
- AUTOBRAKES - rto
- EICAS - check that they agree with aircraft
- GND PROX TERR INHIB BUTTON - verify out, no illumination
- MCDU - initialize FMS, route, etc, (after clearance, pax count - insert)
- FLIGHT CONTROL MODE PANEL - verify guarded no stripes
- SHAKER 1&2 CUTOUT BUTTONS - pushed out, no illumination
- IGNITION SELECTOR KNOBS - verify auto
- EICAS FULL - desired position
- THRUST LEVERS - idle
- SPEED BRAKE - closed
- AUDIO CONTROL PANEL - volume no higher than 55, desired positions
- TRIM PANEL - 3 second check, check movement and re-center
- TAKEOFF BRIEFING - complete it
- ELECTRONIC DEVICES - off, airplane mode

BEFORE START - BELOW THE LINE (CA)
A
- EICAS MESSAGES - only messages pertaining to airplane be displayed
- FUEL QUANTITY - verify fuel onboard meets or exceeds planned
- MCDU - verify air shuttle and flight #
- PERFORMANCE DATA - ZFW, GTOW, pax load, v-speeds, ATTCS, N1
- DOORS & WINDOWS - ckpt wind clsd, doors status pg. closed, slides armed
- STERILE LIGHT - on
- RED BEACON - on
- HYDRAULIC PUMP 3A - on
- TOGA BUTTON - load 27 arms LNAV and VNAV on ground, 25 deselect VNAV
- EMERGENCY/PARKING BRAKE - on or off
- STEERING DISENGAGE SWITCH - verify STEER OFF on EICAS

AFTER START (CA)
A
- GROUND EQUIPMENT - parking brake is set, gear/RAT pins gone, ground equipment have been removed
- FLAPS - set by TAKEOFF page on MCDU
- FLIGHT CONTROLS - press steer disengage switch prior to checking rudder, verify STEER OFF EICAS message, rudder check full deflection left/right
- STEERING HANDLE - press steering handle, verify STEER OFF EICAS message extinguished, MAP page on MFD prior to taxi

TAXI OUT (CA)
A
- FMS - FO will verify departure, transition and first fix, CA states VERIFIED
- NAV (if applicable) - armed or off, depending on departure type

RUNWAY CHANGE (CA)
A
- NAV (if applicable) - armed or off
- HEADING - heading set to new runway
- ALTITUDE - altitude verified with new departure runway procedure
- FUEL - fuel onboard meets or exceeds MIN fuel on release for Takeoff
- PERFORMANCE DATA - review ATTCS, N1, ZFW, Vspeeds
- MCDU/FMS - insert SID/departing runway, verify performance data is set
- FLAPS - verify new flap setting from takeoff page in FMS
- TAKEOFF BRIEFING - brief the use of FMS speeds and/or VNAV and requested modes for the climb sequence

BEFORE TAKEOFF (CA)
A
- LIGHTS - “line up and wait” all lights on except landing, “cleared for takeoff” all lights on
- AUTOTHROTTLE - armed, verify white TO on FMA
- EICAS - checked, only advisory or status are displayed, ATTCS, TO-1/2, FLEX temp
- FUEL - verify fuel onboard exceeds MIN fuel for takeoff
- RUNWAY - verify proper runway

AFTER TAKEOFF (PM FLOW)
A
- LANDING GEAR - retract upon confirming positive rate, PF calls for gear up
- SLATS/FLAPS - retract on Vf speed, if F-bug disappears retract flaps/slats to zero by green dot + 10 knots

CLIMB (CA FLOW)
A
Above 18,000’
- STERILE - turn off the STERILE cockpit light OFF
- FSTN BELTS - as required, on/off depending on condition of flight
- EXTERNAL LIGHTS - all should be turned off except for NAV, STROBE, BCN

CLIMB (PF FLOW)
A
Above 18,000 feet
- ALTIMETERS - set to standard
(CA sets IESS altimeter)

CLIMB (PM FLOW)
A
Above 10,000 feet
- APU - as required per operation ON or OFF
- AIR CONDITIONING & PRESSURIZATION - check proper settings and parameters

APPROACH TO THE LINE (CA FLOW)
A
Completed prior to descending below 18,000 feet
- AUTO BRAKES - set to what is required, HI, MED, LO
- FUEL - check required fuel is remaining, and contingency fuel
- APPROACH BRIEFING - captain will ensure it is complete, transfer controls below 10,000 feet

APPROACH TO THE LINE (PM/PF FLOW)
A
- FLIGHT ATTENDANTS - state in the briefing “Flight attendants, please secure the cabin for arrival”
* NOT ON THE FLOW* - LANDING DATA - set the V-Speeds for the approach

1. SPEED SELECTOR - speed selector goes to MAN prior to FAF (FMS not allowed past FAF)

- LIGHTS - all lights on except for landing and nose taxi light
- PASSENGER SIGNS - on
- STERILE COCKPIT - on, signals a high chime

- ALTIMETERS - set the altimeters to the local altimeter setting
