According to the UK Working Party Diagnostic Criteria for Atopic Eczema, how is eczema diagnosed?

A

An itchy skin condition in the last 12 months

Plus 3 or more of the following:

  • Onset below age 2 years*
  • History of flexural involvement
    • Or dermatitis on cheeks in children <18months
  • History of generally dry skin
  • Personal history of other atopic disease (or FH if very young)
  • Visible flexural dermatitis
